Francis Ford Coppola's YSA advice (not on kbyu)

While in the car waiting to get home, which is 2 miles and 1hour away in traffic..this awesome interview with Francis Ford Coppola came on. I usually hate when the audience at a discussion is allowed to ask questions cause I get nervous for the the nerdy college student who might say something stupid but in this discussion it didnt matter cause Coppola is awesome!

case in point: (not sure if i used this phrase right)

UNIDENTIFIED WOMAN: Thank you so much for being here. You're such a big inspiration as well as your daughter. She's changed my life with her films. They're really amazing. And as a young person who is really passionate about film, I wonder what the best advice you can give me today would be? Like, in your opinion, what's the best advice to a young filmmaker?

COPPOLA: To young filmmakers. Well, if it's a guy, I say get married.

(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)

COPPOLA: Because, you know, if you get married - because young men today, they don't seem to think about getting married and having kids till they're in their late 40s, you know, and I was married, I was 22. I was desperate to have kids. I had so much fun with my kids. And, you know, the fact that I was married and I had this family of little kids, I was very responsible. I wanted to have a house that they could live in and so I worked very hard. I didn't go out and, you know, waste time as a young man are known to do, and I was diligent. I would be writing my script and what have you, and marriage had a very good effect on me. When I was married I was broke and, you know, eight weeks later I had a job as a screenwriter and I attribute a lot of it to the sense of, you know, togetherness with my family, the little team I wanted to provide for.

If you're a young woman I would say don't get married.

(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)

COPPOLA: Because then you have this guy who is trying to get you to do everything for his career and you're not going to have any time for your career. So...

(SOUNDBITE OF APPLAUSE)

Although I am a woman and got married young. I do not think it has got in the way of my career as an aspiring celebrity house wife whos day job is administrative stuff. I do agree that babies are awesome, kids are hilarious when they talk, and teenagers can also be good people..Families in all are excellent!Especially Spencer. I was never a great student but once i got married i would make the effort to go to class cause i knew spencer made the effort to go find a job and work everyday, and still make hilarious jokes, and make awesome turkey's for Thanksgiving.
HAppy Thanksgiving. And thank you creator of God Father for your great words of wisdom.

best week EVER!

my week was AWESOME!!!
despite being in my first car accident (dont worry mom not my fault) I forgot to call and tell you...

and despite a lost wallet i wont tell who's it was just incase you try to track it down and steal identities..

and after discovering someone in our house has fleas- i wont disclose that either so as not to embarrass them. although a clue: its a boy and its not spencer. which still might confuse my mom who refers to them as a "she" still even after lending me the carrier to get the (not mentioned) neutered. once again.. not spencer.

and yet my whole week has been made by this.

yeah you may not have fleas or a young punk (who found your wallet) making fun of all your personalized photos on your debit cards. or 3 dings in your car that all have taken place whilst you were behind the wheel. but you dont have this.. an awesome portrait of a unicorn piercing a floating heart as the words i heart you float in the sky. signed and sent with love from my awesome niece halle which proves my family is awesome. this picture depicts excactly how i feel about them. it totally made my week. i want to make it into a t-shirt and wear it everyday! this is why everyone should get up in the morning, .......... and peaceful flash mobs those are pretty great too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLugrcvlpds&feature=related!

Neverland

now some may call you crazy for building a world where you could play on rollercoasters all day and play with awesome toys. but i call you a genius. since moving to LA all i want to do is kid stuff. eat sweets and watch disney cartoons and look at cloth dolls on etsy. i am also into the highest form of art called : amigurumi , lately and i cant wait til i have the energy and motivation to create a whole world of friends out of yarn. Also on my to do list is create a small replica of the house i would like to live in some day. A hobby saved for sons that dress up as their mothers and own hotels.

i have no idea what has jump started this obsession with returning to my childhood. maybe its my coworkers constant talk about botox and how white people like me will need it. could it be that i never see children anymore. work party was at the santa monica pier with access to all of its rides for free and everyone was so bummed. only the big bosses have kids that they can afford and bring. everyone else wanted it to be like the christmas party where everyone got to put on really small dresses which i cant wear because i love sweets. i was bummed out a little too because the work party on the pier did not have free access to the arcade. anyways i like doughnuts that starbucks inside the alberstons give away for free after 6:30, because its free and my favorite food. i love it when Wall-e is following eva around in the pixar film and gets smashed by all those grocery carts. i like going to bed early (unlike kids). i love taking pictures of my cat.. everyday. i still doodle in church. i hate aliens and that means you E.T.  and i love spencer.

note to my parents i know i wasnt the cutest kid crying in stores, screaming in drs offices and during lighting storms on camping trips but i am better now. i never go to the doctors.

where everybody knows your name

so last christmas my sister gave my parents coversational cards with questions on it to read and answer. I read all of them to my family all christmas. it was awesome. i learned that everybody's favorite family vacation was hawaii including jen. which was surprising considering that i peed my pants in the hotel elevator all over jenny's foot.
Beside's the point. anyways the real point..one of the cards read -What do you do when you feel homesick? my dad said that service was the best medicine to which my mom agreed. sorry folks (my parents). last time i tried this i offered left over lunch to a homeless man walking by me. he smiled and refused which was when i realized he probably wasnt homeless.
so to which i tell my dad the true medicine for homesickness. CHEERS:the American situation comedy television series that ran for 11 seasons from 1982 to 1993. (wikipedia). everytime coach and sam shout out norm's name when he comes in i get so stoked. or the banter between sam and diane... karla and diane or anybody making fun of diane. hilarious! or how coach names all of his glasses so he doesnt mix up the drinks but has difficulties with two glasses called the wilson brothers. so sweet.
all though i may no longer live close enough to my family to be made the butt of every joke anymore. i have diane to make me feel at home.

(check it! I would give anything to join these Cheers impersonators)

dont take my wings

Some what good news:
My front tooth will be made out of zirconium.. which is like fools diamond. strong as one but not one. My tooth will cut pennies and blades. Not yet my temporary crown is made of a kernal of corn and my gum is rejecting it. gross. spencer tried to talk me into a gold tooth.. he said he would shell out any amount to be married to the woman with a front gold tooth. he wants one now.
Although it is good news that they will replace my dead tooth with indestructible faux diamonds, when i grabbed the mirror from the counter while the dentist was going to grab the shade chart for my new tooth i looked at how much that shaved down my real one and all I can think of was that part in Pearl Harbor where Ben Affleck is dyslexic and he has to name the letters on the eye chart.. he is talking to his buddy before hand and was like..."They're going to take my wings..they are going to take my wings." Man that hit home so hard. That dentist took my wings. But hopefully they will make me new ones.

good news minute

Good News! We are moving from our studio apt into a one bedroom apt. so we are looking at craigslist every minute to get things normal people have: couch, dresser, hopefully a puppy, and maybe a generator.
We got this beauty from a gentlemen who sells couches out of 4 storage units in Korea Town.

yeah that is our bed right behind it and dont worry our front door is only 2 feet in front..2 more weeks!

More good news

And some GREAT News Moving farther from my neighbor whitey who lived close to the beach with awesome rent! Bad man though i will not drink the koolaid.
